Nadezhda Korshakova - Violin

Serious prize-winner, Nadezhda Korshakova was born in St.Petersburg, Russia and started playing violin at the age of 4.
She studied with three main teachers: Prof. Lev Ivaschenko at St. Petersburg Pre-Conservatory Music School, Prof. Irina Bochkova at Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, and Prof.Zakhar Bron, first at Queen Sofia High School of Music in Madrid, then at High School of Music and Theatre in Zurich. Awarded funds from Yankelevich Foundation, Rostropovich Foundation in Russia, and from Isaak Albeniz Foundation in Spain. Nadezhda has won many prizes in international and national competitions, and participated in various international festivals including Verbier Festival & Academy, Santander Music Festival, Orford Music Festival.
She is performing in Russian and European cities, working with orchestras and playing chamber music and duet with notable musicians as Gerard Causse, Itamar Golan, and Aleksandr Melnikov.
She maintains a wide range of repertoire from, baroque, classical, romantic to modern era, covering more than 20 concerto, 20 sonatas, chamber music countless small pieces. Korshakova’s performance is characterized by beautiful tonal expression, delicate taste, warmth, and imagination, combined with strong formal conception allowing her to locate herself in any given musical moment. Korshakova currently is assistant to Prof.Bron at High School of Music and Theatre in Zurich.
